Hive는 언론에서 제기된 ‘뉴진스 부모님 항의 이메일’과 관련하여 입장을 밝혔습니다. Hive는 “이메일 자체가 (뉴진스) 부모님들에 의해 작성된 것이 아니라 부사장 L과 CEO 민에 의해 작성되었다”고 전했습니다.

데일리 스포츠는 13일, 뉴진스 부모님이 Hive에 제안 사항을 담은 이메일을 보냈으며, 이메일에는 “새 Hive 걸그룹이 뉴진스를 표절했는지”, “뉴진스 멤버들을 제대로 대하지 않고 인사도 하지 않는 등의 대우를 받았다”는 내용이 포함되어 있다고 보도했습니다.

이에 대해 Hive는 “저희는 지난달 3일 해당 이메일을 받았고, 이미 16일에 표절 등이 아니라는 것을 확인하는 답변을 보냈다”며 “아도어(Adore) 사건이 Hive의 방치에서 시작됐다는 주장도 사실이 아니다”라고 반박했습니다.

Hive는 “민 대표의 오랜 관행인 자신의 탐욕을 위해 아티스트와 아티스트 가족을 싸움에 끌어들이는 것에 대해 매우 유감스럽게 생각한다”며 “Hive를 공격하는 이메일을 보낼 의도가 전혀 없었다. 이것은 경영권을 장악하고 사익을 추구하려는 계획으로 시작되었다”고 덧붙였습니다. ▲CEO 민은 문제를 제기하면 주주 협약 위반이 될 것이라며 부모님을 앞세우라고 했다. ▲그가 말한 부모님으로부터 온 이메일은 부모님이 아니라 부사장 L이 작성한 것이었다고 설명했습니다. “우리는 민 대표가 증거로 확보한 내용을 밝히고 있다.”

그는 계속해서 “민 희진 CEO가 사익을 추구하기 위해 아티스트를 방패로 사용하고 부모님마저 앞세우는 행동을 깊이 한탄할 수밖에 없다”며, “여론을 오도하려는 시도를 중단하고 아티스트의 가치를 보호하기 위해 자존심을 발휘하기를 다시 한번 촉구한다”고 강조했습니다.
